@EdEllaD @athrosaesneg @EnglishWales @CroesyEnglish1 Currently reading the adaptation of “Pan’s Labyrinth”. It’s based on the film, however I’m finding the book less scarier/ darker than the film (note: I’m only on Chapter 5 😅). Gorgeous book though; plenty of complex themes, rich language analysis and Spanish context. Suits y8/9!

@42buckley @Mathew_Lynch44 @Team_English1 @matthewmoor3 @FunkyPedagogy I’ve also taught it to year 8 and so long as there are steps put in place to help them understand the vocabulary, they will soon be debating the power dynamics in the novel. My year 8 had very strong opinions about those pigs!
