Check out the artwork our grade 7/8s have been making to represent the teaching of Courage. Huge thank you to @MissLHumphries for sharing the idea for this watercolour + zentangle creation with us! Absolutely beautiful! ๐ป @frontenacLRSD#ProjectJoyLRSD
It's been a while since I've posted... so here's the 11's and 12's creating some "Horror Head Sculptures" with mannequin heads generously donated from NMC.
Grade 9/10 Drama students have been completing some land based learning while building set designs comprised of natural materials. Here are some set designs for the Princess and the Pea, Tinkerbelle's house, Little Mermaid, and the 3 Little Bears.
A few of the toilet paper sculptures our Grade 12 Hybrid Art class created. The 3 materials they used were: toilet paper, water, and watercolour paint. They turned out so amazing!
Well Iโm no YouTuber... but hereโs a video I made for Rainbow Wall Hangings if anyone is looking for some craft inspiration! Essential materials needed: rope (cotton preferably), ๐งถ , tape, โ๏ธ and hot glue. https://t.co/i0aVEu6K58
My first attempt at mosaic making. Is it perfect? Nah.
But when this pandemic is over, Iโll be able to look at this piece & remember a time when our freedoms had restrictions. Itโll serve as a reminder to appreciate the many blessings in life that we often take for granted.
Iโve asked my Art students to complete a choice project during class suspension, using whatever materials they have available to them at home. Over the next week Iโll be doing the same. You can follow my process on Instagram: lisakjhumphries
Hi JHB students! Your class OneNote has been updated for the class suspension. Give it a read over & let me know if you need more clarification through email. โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐จ
Congratulations to my students Sena, Leah, Sydney & Fatima! They submitted artwork to the CMHR based on the guiding question: โWhat will human rights look like in the future?โ Their work has been accepted for a public exhibition at the CMHR & the forks! #changemakers
We had a great morning at the board office with Synonym Arts Council! We created graphic recordings of their presentation & created โtobaccoโ pouches filled with notes of what we are thankful for in our school community.
