It's so sad that it's considered radical to say that even disabled people who are unable to work should still have nice things. A coffee every once in a while, a nice dinner, a fun trip. Just because you're unable to contribute to capitalism doesn't mean you should suffer.

@Perseverer4 Probably because the police know that announcing that it was a white man won’t cause riots / violence / hatred against random innocent white men. When it’s a white person, nobody generalises. When it’s a person of colour, suddenly their entire race is guilty. That is why.

Non disabled people don’t realize that disabled people don’t just get all of their needs met. We don’t just get medication or mobility aids or diagnoses at the drop of a hat. We have to fight constantly to get our needs met because the system will do anything it can to not help.

@SydneyLWatson I think it’s pretty astounding that someone intelligent enough attain a masters degree is so, painfully uneducated on, you know, common decency.

1. Food IS culture, be respectful of it or just don’t speak of it at all!
