Day 3 of #RLWinterGames - Figure Skating ⛸
Although our MUGA was out of bounds today due tot being too icy, some Base 6 pupils managed to safely try out some figure skating moves while being closely supervised 👏⭐️. @RLSportServices

Pre-COVID, I used self-assessment trays for maths and literacy - not sure when this will be ok!

Given the 72 hrs rule, I assume pupil's work should be ‘quarantined’ before marking. This gave me the idea to label my trays Mon-Fri, so I know when I can assess each piece of work.

@nrichmaths always have amazing maths resources to challenge pupils of all levels! They are a great way to develop problem solving skills as well as pair/group work 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻 Printed, laminated and ready to go

Timetable cards 🤩.. I hope my new class appreciate my Bitmoji as much as I do 😂!
Children definitely appreciate knowing how their day ahead is going to go 🙋🏻‍♀️! I’m sure I’ve missed something but once we’re back I’ll sort that!

New ‘Class Jobs’ display cards 🙋🏻‍♀️ - Adding to my collection of Bitmoji resources 😬🙈!
I have some blank cards too - pupils always come up with new/additional jobs as the year progresses!
Pupils love the responsibility 🤩

This week Primary 6 started their solo talks on influential Scottish people from the past. We have had many men and woman from the past and even made some amazing posters to present!

[Mearns Primary & Nursery @Mearns_Primary]

Thank you to Craig at Waterstones for organising our visit from Jeff Norton. Primary 4 and 5 thoroughly enjoyed his presentation. 👍🏻 📚@WatNewtonMearns

📌 ROAD CLOSURE: Maryville Avenue between the junctions of Berryhill Drive and Park Road will be closed for resurfacing today (04/03/19) until 15/03/19. This is a popular drop-off spot for St.Ninian's pupils so please be aware that school drops may be affected by this work.

[Miss McColl @MissLMccoll]

Yup.. that’s my name on that door 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

[Miss McColl @MissLMccoll]

It’s almost time for the adventure to begin 🤗🙈 !! I’m as ready as I can be and can’t wait to get started 🌈📚✏️!!! This time next week, my first week will already be over 😬😬!!!

[Miss McColl @MissLMccoll]

Can't wait to go and visit my class again on Monday 🐝📚!! Last time I will see them before I become their teacher FULL-TIME in August 🙊🙃!! #NQT #NQTEastRenfrewshire #Primarysix #StrathBA

As we continue to cram more onto our list of expectations of teachers, the Daily Mile requires 5 x 15 mins per week. While very worthwhile, where do people think the 75 mins are being taken from? You can't have your cake and eat it as well. Teachers not magicians!

[Miss McColl @MissLMccoll]

@harveytony Thanks, good luck with your book !

[Miss McColl @MissLMccoll]

The first draft is finally done 😴!! Now to read over it, change most of it and read over it 100 more times 😩!! Roll on Monday!!!
