Yesterday we opened our letters from our pen pals in Kentucky. Students were shocked to see how much they had in common with their pen pal. “His favorite book series is MY favorite book series!”
First thing I was asked this am: “When do we get to write our pen pals back?”

We mixed substances and watched them fizz, bubble, clump, and become goop. Loved seeing this group so engaged!

Owl pellet dissection today in 5th grade! Some students may have found it a little gross, but everyone enjoyed themselves and learned something new. We found bones, feathers, fur, skulls, and teeth in our pellets! #5thgrade #BetterTogether

Today students worked with teams to draw shapes….the catch was they could only hold the string attached to the marker! When I asked what they learned they said that “communication is important” and “we shouldn’t get upset when someone makes a mistake”. 🤩#teamwork @RStar512
