I want to say a massive thank you to P5A for such a wonderful year! You have shown amazing curiosity daily, been positive through a tricky year, shown me success after success and have been super respectful. I could not be prouder of you, good luck and enjoy primary 6! 🌟
@GillianHalcrow@MissSinclairCPS@CockenziePS This looks like it was an amazing walk, I can’t wait to hear all about it. It’s amazing where a positive penguin will pop up to help you along! 🐧
Today P5A worked in small groups to take part in a scavenger hunt! They found passages about John Muir’s life and answered lots of questions. They even discovered that I had been a little sneaky and snuck a few of the answers in the same passage! #curious#successful
P5A are becoming engineers in their context for learning:John Muir and the environment! Today we have started the design process for our environmentally friendly pieces of technology. Each machine is powered differently and has specific functions and design features.
This week 5A started to write a detailed letter about environmental issues in our local area. We started thinking about issues that appear in parks and on pathways. We chose whether we wanted to write to David Attenborough or Greta Thunberg. We can’t wait to add more paragraphs!
P5A showed so much curiosity this week that we ended up with a class star of the week award. 🌟 We showed #curious attitudes towards our measure topic in maths and our John Muir context when learning about primary and secondary sources and the environment.
P5A have put in an amazing effort this term, they have returned to school with positive attitudes and have had lots of curious questions! Enjoy your holiday everyone! (Remember to show your adults at home your new signalong signs!)
Today P5 were thinking about maths in the real world! We used a Jamboard to collect our thoughts about where we see maths out of our classroom. Seeing everyone’s answers on the Jamboard was a great way to share our learning with each other! @MrsBarnett44@CockenziePS
It was great to see so many children at our first live assembly today. It was lovely to see how supportive everyone was of all the successes shared! I’m already excited for next weeks World Book Day assembly! @CockenziePS#positive
Today’s health and well-being task was centred around people who champion our rights. As a rights respecting school we discuss the rights of the child regularly. Children thought about people they know and know of who champion children’s rights and are a good inspiration.
P5A have done a fantastic job with their Health and Well-being task! They were asked to create their own country, complete with a map and 5 essential rules for everyone to follow. They had to think about the rights of the child that we have been discussing in school. #successful
Thank you for a fantastic effort on your first day back P5! I hope you are now enjoying lots of yummy pancakes to celebrate your great work! (I definitely am!) #positive@MrsBarnett44@CockenziePS
Congratulations P5 you have worked incredibly hard this term! I’m so proud of how positive and resilient you have all been. I hope you and your adults have a lovely February break!
P5 participated treasure hunts as part of their Google Meets today. @MrsBarnett44 and I were so impressed with how creative some of their finds were! Well done P5! 🌟#curious#successful@CockenziePS
