Yesterday we had a special visitor to year 1. Max from 'Where the Wild Things Are' came and caused mischief. The children formed their own questions and asked Max to find out more about him! #year1 #GreystokeEnglish

This week we have started to learn about seasons and began with some Autumn art. 1MB loved printing with leaves, doing wax rubbings and creating a fantastic whole class leaf collage #Greystokerocks #year1

Halloween provision in year 1 today. The children absolutely loved it :) They found and read tricky words in the cobwebs, drew and wrote Halloween objects and scooped out pumpkin seeds. We then counted and sorted them as well as making pulp pies! Happy Halloween! #Greystokerocks

We had a great maths lesson today 👍 We worked practically to understand how to use the 'part, part, whole' model. The children particularly loved the part-whole machine! We picked our part numbers and fired them down the shoots to find the whole #year1 #practicalmaths
