Well done to all students involved in the 1st Peer Reading session today. It was lovely to see our YR10 mentors meet their YR7 readers, getting to know each other, helping to choose books & by the end of the session the group had read 98 pages. @Barlby_English @Barlby_High

✨New: English Award✨Every month, a student from each English class is nominated by their teacher for excellent effort or progress. One child from each year is then randomly selected to win one of these amazing works of fiction. 5 lucky students will receive theirs this week.

Out of 19,000 entries from across the country, 16 of our BHS students are going to be published in a young author's book as a result of sending their amazing entries in to this competition! We are so proud - well done everyone 👏 Thank you @MissMHardcastle for organising it.

Just under 1 week to go to #HarryPotterBookNight on Thursday 3rd February. Our quiz will run throughout lunchtime on the day. We have lots of Harry Potter books available to borrow from the school library to help refresh your knowledge in time for the big event @Barlby_High
