I believe teachers are not entertainers. A teacher’s duty is to teach pupils their subjects & teach them to become better versions of themselves: harder working, more polite etc. When pupils learn lots & become better people they feel successful & fulfilled. This is true joy. 1/

I’m finding it increasingly concerning that English is being either macro focused to a set of insurmountable, somewhat nebulous claims or alternatively, micro focused to an overprescribed set of texts, content and processes.

Why is ‘tax’ such a dirty word.
It literally pays for our health care, social care, welfare state, police, safety, local services, education, roads, transport, military.
We all rely on these to live and survive.
In my humble opinion, the disappointing thing about this #ITVDebate format is that it gives no space for proper exploration of ideas. It promotes soundbites over analysis, superficial responses over explanation. Not sure it gets us very far at a time of such national crisis.
