We found history is generally in a strong position:
- Most schools offer a broad and balanced curriculum at KS3.
- Wide variety of modules offered at GCSE and A-Level.
- 92.4% of all history lessons taught by a history specialist.
Hoping to connect with #Alevel#historyteachers who teach Edexcel coursework and/or Paper 2 America 1955-1992.
First year teaching both aspects so looking for advice and if you have any resources that you wouldn’t mind sharing please. Also any recommended reads?
RIP Bob Birrell
We were advised of the passing of Bob Birrell yesterday.
Bob was an Olympic hurdler in the 1960 games and represented his country at the Commonwealth Games
He was also an accomplished coach and official and could be seen collecting training fees on club nights
Brilliant few days in New York and Washington. We took 37 students across to America. We were able to meet people who worked in the One World Trade Centre and even had 5 students including myself visit the West Wing in the White House. Now to catch up on sleep!
Brilliant conference today. Inspiring speakers who have shown our collective change to behaviour and understanding of behaviour can make a difference to our young people.
Anyone taught Paper 1 Edexcel Britain Transformed ? Looking for a sample of resources for Theme 1. Also, any advice for A Level teaching ? #alevel#secondaryteaching
