Bubbles 🫧 , sandcastles 🏝, and friends ❤️ the perfect end to a magical year of collaboration with @cambriankinder we spent a beautiful day on the land laughing and learning with our Kindergarten friends! We sure will miss you!

Today we went out on the land with @McFarlanesClass to share what “good medicine” means to us. “Good medicine is a term often used by Indigenous Peoples to refer to anything that brings you wellness, joy, peace, and balance.” We also met some lady bug friends 🐞

PLP joined our Kinder buddies for a day of land-based celebration! We walked to Confederation Park and played together all morning 🫧 @cambriankinder

PLP potted some new Spring flowers! These went home today in our fingerprint flower pots!

We spent the morning learning on the land with 4 rounds of sit spot sketches to capture the beauty of the plants we saw! 🪴 🌸

Paper flowers to celebrate our learning about plants! 🌸 this craftivity required a lot of fine motor skills, patience, and following directions!

Check out our bean observation journal! We documented our observations on 4 different days during their growing. Today our bean plants went home 🏡

First we practiced cutting playdoh, then we cut apples to feed our worms! Life skills and science all in one!

Worms love banana peels! Today we fed our worms 🍌🪱 each student sprinkled banana peel pieces into our worm habitat before we added fresh newspaper bedding!

In health today we sorted pictures into expected and unexpected behaviours! We had to look at visual cues such as facial expressions to help interpret the situations ✏️

Check out our @greencalgary worms! Today we started our 2 week worm inquiry! We will be learning about their habitat, what they eat, how they help our environment and so much more! 🪱 One student shared, “worms are just so cute!”
