I weep for the future of communication. We seem to be deliberately misunderstanding each other for the chance to be self righteous. And I'm being preached to by people who *think* they're great at communicating because they have 'comms' in their job title.

It's all of those things at once. It takes a pretty astute communicator to get it right every time. Like sarcasm sometimes gets lost in text without the addition of an emoji, deadpan on comedy shows gets lost without canned laughter. This is a comms revolution. We need to adapt.
