Year 2 teacher at Kingswood Parks!

[Kingswood Parks Primary School @KingswoodParksP]

Hi! Would any authors mind sending a message or a tweet of encouragement that we can share with our Year 6 cohort at our Book Publishing Party next week! They have written and published a book of short stories this year. Thank you in advance. :)

Watch Kingswood Parks Primary School celebrating the coronation of King Charles III. Over 600 of our pupils came together to create a crown fit for a king... however, it might be a bit big :) @HumberEdTrust @1digitalschools @peter_levy @hulllive @looknorthBBC @RoyalFamily

"Do you think she's having tea with Paddington now?" (My 6 year old Godson)

Thank you for the fact that I get to hear such a sweet question today Ma'am...

Y2 @KingswoodParksP worked really hard to create Flat Stanley animations. Hop over to https://t.co/pfXXQKiizw and select blogs and a Y2 class to view. Future @aardman employees perhaps? Well done Y2. And @just2easy_com for some wonderfully accessible software too.

Wow, what a great adventure! It looks like Stanley is really enjoying that ice cream!

[Miss McColm @MissMcColmKWP]

What a super book launch day we had last week for new core text ‘Flat Stanley’. The children enjoyed making their own Stanley’s and envelopes to send him off on some adventures! I wonder where he will end up?

[Miss McColm @MissMcColmKWP]

@mermaidmamma2 @MrsHawksleyKWP @KingswoodParksP Ahh great choices girls! Can’t wait to hear about the books on Monday!

Amazing effort Noah!

It’s #WorldBookDay! We're celebrating 25 years of changing lives through a love of shared reading.🎉

Reading for pleasure isn’t just about fun, it’s the biggest indicator of a child’s future success. Share what you love about reading with #IAmAReader

[Kingswood Parks Primary School @KingswoodParksP]

We are gathered in the hall, ready to start our #WorldBookDay by singing @MrMCGrammar’s World Book Day song and a Tiger Who Came to Tea song. Thank you to our parents for supporting today, making book boxes. They are amazing!

Nice to see the computing work up as part of a display and not just on its own. Gives a nice warm cross-curricular feeling. All done in JIT5 mix from @just2easy_com and by 2M @KingswoodParksP.

[Miss McColm @MissMcColmKWP]

Here are some examples of our nature sketches. They are going to look super on display in our class ‘Nature Sketchbook’. We had such fun, even if we didn’t manage to spot Plop! 🦉 @KingswoodParksP @HumberEdTrust

[Miss McColm @MissMcColmKWP]

2Mc have started a new Talk for Reading unit, focussing on a chapter of our core text ‘The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark’. Today as our hook, we created nature sketches to add to a class ‘nature sketchbook’ just like the little girl does @KingswoodParksP @HumberEdTrust

[Miss McColm @MissMcColmKWP]

@sclarkhkr1005 @matthaig1 @KingswoodParksP @chrismouldink Amazing effort Romy! I remember when you introduced me to this book all those years ago! @matthaig1 is now a firm favourite of mine!
