I'm excited to share the cover of my forthcoming book. Thank you to Daniel Handler for writing about the book, & thank you to everyone at Vine Leaves Press. As an immunocompromised person during a pandemic, I am extremely grateful for moments that are not about Covid-19 anxiety.
Just a reminder to the people still here:
Kamala had a plan to lower food costs, cut student debt, 25k help with buying a first home, 6K for a new baby, 3K a year to help with children, a plan to make housing more available by blocking private equity from buying homes, and
"Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, and many have no emergency savings—they are one crisis from homelessness. A job loss or an unexpected illness and they are where I am. They are on edge, driving bigger and faster and louder cars—a society speeding along as it disintegrates." https://t.co/BCzCB5lrlZ
We see right through the unshowered soul living in a car by the beach, or by the Walmart, or by the side of the road. But he’s there, and he used to be somebody. He still is. A firsthand account of homelessness in America. https://t.co/6q9fwjSuBu
"The officers are civil, but every encounter causes me apprehension and stress. When you’re homeless, you are even more vulnerable. You have no place to go, no kitchen table to sit at while you drink your beer, invisible to them. You’re always on their turf. It’s unnerving." https://t.co/BCzCB5lrlZ
"I receive $960 a month from SSDI. I should have $32 a day, but my needs, and a few wants, are debiting my account. Living as minimally as I know how, I’m not making it. I’m losing weight I don’t have to lose." https://t.co/T2IXAab1no
"The moneyed reject us because they know they create us, that we are a consequence of their impulse to accumulate more than they need, rooted in a fear of life and the death that comes with it." https://t.co/T2IXAab1no

"This is part of your rejection, this fear that it could be you. You deny that reality because it is too horrific to contemplate, therefore you must deny us."

Oh my goodness. This new Kamala Harris ad is so powerful. Hadley Duvall tells how her stepfather raped her when she was 12 & then she became pregnant. But girls now can no longer access the care she got because of Trump. Billie Eilish closes the ad. Watch.
people would be a lot healthier, happier, safer, and live longer if transportation, medical care, and education were free. a lot of mainstream news is an elaborate attempt to obscure this truth.

I was dating because he wrote
