One aspect of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' statement has been overlooked - something that I believe reveals motivation.

After their primary statement, they include an additional consideration, which is titled...

"Opposition to Criminalization of Medical Care"

Now think to yourself...Are these organizations finally jumping ship because they're genuinely coming around to the fact that this is completely insane?

Absolutely not.

I believe these people are responding to the very real legal threat being introduced by the Trump administration. The fact is, the majority of these clinics based their financial solvency on fraudulent billing practices which is exactly what the DOJ is investigating (well known fact for those familiar).

I believe Trump's DOJ is starting to get very close to getting their hands on key evidence that will implicate leading individuals within these organizations as being complicit.
