@MrTs_NQTs So as an example of this type of story at my placement school we are currently looking at the story of Jack and the beanstalk. And the children have been coming up with adjectives to describe fantasy settings. (Ie what is at the top of the beanstalk)

Hi, I have an interview next week and the teaching part of my interview consists of teaching a short reading lesson for a group of mixed ability year 1 students. This lesson should take 10-15 mins. Any tips/ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

@missldixon Just out of curiously what stage would this be? I’m a trainee teacher and wondered if there was an average time my mentor would of had to have spent teaching before they can be eligible. Aka would love to be a mentor in the future!

As you may have noticed, we now have a fantastic book vending machine. Students will be able to earn reward tokens in their English lesson that they can then insert into the vending machine to get a free book of their choosing.
