My never-ending TBR pile 🤍
Almost one month into 2026, and I’ve already DNFed three books. No fiction or nonfiction book seems to grab my attention at the moment. Maybe it’s because of the winter season, or it’s just a phase.
I’m looking forward to that time again when I will devour one book after another. I think I just have to stop doom-scrolling and train myself to pick up a book instead.
I put myself on a book-buying ban, since the pile isn’t getting significantly smaller. A smaller TBR will feel much less intimidating, and picking the next read will be much easier.
What about you? How many unread books are currently on your shelf? 📚
5 star prediction ⭐️
Emperor of Rome 🏛️
My first book by Mary Beard, and I already have high hopes for it. My Roman Empire phase is only just beginning.
The War Below 🪨
I’m excited to dive into the dark side of how raw minerals are sourced.
Woman’s Lore 🧜♀️
As sirens seduced men at sea, this book had a magnetic appeal to me as well. I just hope it won’t disappoint.
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. – Charles W. Eliot
