One of the rewards for Dojo points is reading to the class and Y’ALL....I was almost taken back b/c this girl had questions prepared in advance to ask her peers.“How do you think the boy is feeling? “Who do you think is crying for help?”We definitely have a teacher in the making!
Our second annual Great Pumpkin Run!! I’d like to thank 9Round for teaching me to breathe through cardio and Jimmy for running ahead of me, pushing me to beat him. ;) (I didn’t). I was able to beat last year’s time!!! 🎃🏃🏻♀️
Today we did a Stand Up/Pair up activity to share our published writing pieces with someone we haven’t talked to. They had to find someone while the music played, read their story when the music stopped, then freeze like statues in a high five to let us know they finished.
It’s publishing week, so we get to share our sloppy copies with our partners!
“You have to tell your reader how you got there.”
“I like that part...it’s funny.”
“Was is spelt with a ‘a.’”
“I was kinda scared to read that to you but now I’m not.”
💛💛💛💛💛
So, so happy to meet again and celebrate the year so far with my fellow members of #TLI2019 ! Rejuvenated, postivity, and community are definitely great words for how I’m feeling now. I will always look back on this as such a wonderful and beneficial opportunity! 📚🍎
Today was SO FUN!! I loved listening to them discover new characters and new facts, and THEY loved the chocolate milk. 😜 I loved serving them as “Miss Barista.” It’s crazy how something so small to us, can be the “best day ever” to them. ❤️ @MRobinsonElem
2nd grade team whipping up some tasty Starbooks! I love yalls energy for our kiddos! I loved walking in to @MissOsburn4 ‘s room and hearing them demonstrate knowledge of genres. Melt my heart 👏🏻👏🏻 @MrsCharre @McclendonMr @CFISD_ELAR2_5@MRobinsonElem
I love how much our circles help us learn about each other. I can hear them having conversations during the day about what a friend said during circle.
“I don’t know what to write about.”
“Hey, what about what you talked about this morning?” ❤️
