Yesterday P7B hosted an Afternoon Tea for the residents of Boston Court and Turnbull Court. Today they have received super feedback from their visitors... ‘Children are a credit to the school’, ‘Lovely spread and happy children’ and ‘It was a real treat!’

At the end of our persuasive writing unit, children were asked to write persuasive letters. Worried about the influence of social media on young people, one girl chose to reach out to @instagram hoping to persuade them to increase age restrictions @LiteracyShed@DunsPrimary
Wrapping up a focus on persuasive writing, my class wrote letters about topics they are passionate about. This young lady in particular wrote to @clarebalding in the hope that you might write more of the books that ignited a passion for reading @LiteracyShed@DunsPrimary
In class, we have been focusing on persuasive writing and two of my girls have strong views on gendered clothing for children and would love to see a change in some of the big high street stores...@Primark@newlook@nextofficial can you help? @LiteracyShed@DunsPrimary
P7B recommends...My Brother’s Shadow by @teamavery Waiting for Anya by @MichaelMorpugo and Holes by Louis Sachar. We hang our book reviews in the corridor to encourage others to stop and read @DunsPrimary@LiteracyShed
What a fantastic Developing the Young Workforce Week! P7B enjoyed their activities based on grounds work learning about soil, sustainable housing, gamekeeping and lots more. Huge thanks to all involved @DunsPrimary@sumgroupuk@FlemingHomes@TheRHET@RHET_SBCI@melanietknox
Trying something new in P7B...a question/debate of the day as part of our literacy hub work station. Pupils share their views which then leads to whole class discussion/debate. It’s also a great warm up task for our writing lessons on persuasion @DunsPrimary@LiteracyShed
The results are in...congratulations to our new house captains from P7B! Super proud of them all. Well done to all candidates and their campaign teams for a great election. Huge thanks also to all the boys and girls who voted! @DunsPrimary#osprey#buzzard#eagle#falcon
What a fantastic day yesterday with P7 delivering presentations on their mini-topics. We were transported to Ancient Greece then to Bangladesh to learn about Tigers and over to Italy to sample some of their most famous dishes! Great work @DunsPrimary#studentledlearning
To consolidate our understanding of division, P7 designed and created board games. They then shared their games with the other P7 class, who gave feedback. Great cross-curricular links too with literacy, art and technologies #maths#division#interdisciplinary@DunsPrimary
