P3 have been experimenting with the solubility of ink by making rainbows for LGBTQ+ pride month.

P3 have been developing their coding skills. We had fun creating a dance party using different commands.

P3 have been learning the order of the planets in relation to the Sun. We have created our own pneumonics to help us remember. My Very Easy Method Just Speeds Up Naming 🌍🌞@

Last week P3 were working together to problem solve by drawing diagrams. So far we have worked on problem solving using diagrams, patterns, concrete materials. Next we will be problem solving by acting out. 🎨🎭🤔🔎

P3 have been developing our problem solving skills using concrete materials. Yesterday we were finding out how many codes we could make from 4 different numbers. We used our numicon and organised lists to help solve this problem.

P3 have been practicing our understanding of arrays for groups of 2, 5, 10, 3 and 4 using concrete materials.

P3 have been learning about verbs this week using past tense, present tense and future tense. We have also been summarising facts from non-fiction reading books and the beginning, middle and end of a fiction book. Plus some fantastic letter formation practice.

P3 have been exploring printing using leaves and paint in Autumn colours. We have also begun making our snow globes using natural resources and re-using packaging to make something new. 🍁🍃🍂

As you all know P3 have been growing their own dwarf sunflowers. I will continue to care for them over the holidays. If you would like to take them home on the first Monday back, you may want to take a plastic bag in for safe transport home. If not wanted, we can rehome them.
