Thank you to all the staff and parents who helped make our FS and KS1 Sports Day such a success today! We loved seeing such enjoyment and determination from the children! Well done again to Red Team!
Brilliant observations today in Year 2. We were surprised to see how much some of the plants in our investigation had changed already. We planted them in soil, mustard, ketchup glue and chocolate. Which will look the healthiest by the end of the week??
We looked at the language used by the characters in the Enchanted Wood and used it to write and perform our own playscripts. Fantastic group discussion and performances!
Excellent freeze frames in drama today. Each group had a different land at the top of the Faraway Tree and they had to show what happened to their characters. Can you spot the mean goblin and magical witches?
KS1 loved creating beautiful stained glass windows ready for the church's Rising From The Ashes celebrations. Each child in KS1 contributed to the beautiful art work.
Check out our maps of food around the world! We located the countries and looked at where they were on our climate map. Can you spot the link between where the food grows and the weather?
What a great Science Day!
Quotes about what we learned included:
"I eat roots because carrots are roots!"
"I didn't know big fruits can have small seeds inside them."
"I learned rice is a seed!"
"I learned that big seeds don't always grow into big plants." Wow what a day!
What an incredible Year 2 Team we have! Not one child stopped on our Race for Life on Friday. A wonderful event to raise money for such a worthy cause. Well done Year 2!
