Day 3 | to end the day we then went to Railway Dugout cemetery - here Alessia lit our candle of remembrance, Connor read us a beautiful poem, and our final wreath was laid by Anna & Finlay. Hamish once again gave us an excellent performance to finish the week.
Day 3 | on Thursday night we attended the Menin Gate ceremony, where Hamish played to over 600 people, and Lennon & Darcy lay a wreath on behalf of Newbattle. We were all so proud of them!!
Day 3 | final day started Essex Farm, before moving to Poelcapelle cemetery. Afterwards we marched through Passchendaele to Tynecot cemetery, before visiting the Brooding soldier memorial, and Langemark German cemetery too. π§πͺ
Day 2 | Newfoundland Memorial Park, Thiepval memorial, visit to Contalmaison to pay respects to those from McRaeβs Battalion, and to Vimy, the Canadian national memorial. π«π·
