We had a great time this morning at Our Special Harbor for a class meet-up. It was a great way to keep cool on a beautiful July morning. We'll have our next class meet-up on July 18th to the Smithsonian American History Museum.

We are having a delicious fantastic Friday. We learned about the moon, its phases, and its effect on tides. We read The Moon Book and watched Bill Nye and SciShow to dive deeper. We explored NASA's website as well. Finally, we made models using Oreos. Yum! @HollinMeadowsES

Don't forget to stop by for Earth Day on Saturday between 10 am - 1 pm! There will be seedlings for sale. Bring your water bottle and gardening gloves and help us mulch, paint, and clean up the gardens. There will be pizza, fruit, and water for volunteers.

We put the "fun" in functional text today. This week, we have focused on how we use text every day. After looking at different recipes for slime, we made our own. We also reinforced, states of matter, mixtures vs. solutions, and a few other science concepts. @HollinMeadowsES
