@MrRJAnderton@Mr_S_Cains @FakeHeadteacher I am doing something very similar and have found it to be positive for the most part! I am recording a 5-10 minute input for every lesson each day (6 lessons). Meeting every morning for 15 mins then again in the afternoon for our class book! I'm preferring it this way so far!
@MrWC_Y4 That's exactly why I have done the display - as a female myself I am expressing my joy for superheroes and I hope that'll be reflected on my 6 girls too. Superheroes are for everyone, but if it gets that one boy engaged, I'll take it! π
Can anyone recommend any activity sheets to send home for a new Year 3 class? So far I have an 'All about me' sheet, but want to send them some fun things ahead of September. #edutwitter#TinyVoiceTuesdayUnites#helpateacherout
I have 3 lessons (fully planned) that cover Racial prejudice, identity, white privilege and diversity. One P.E. one literacy and one citizenship/PSHE. We targeted them for year 4 but they can be easily adapted for any year group. #edutwitter#BlackLivesMatter#educate#TinyVoice
@missj_ssiealex It's really hard as a "small" teacher account as well. I have resources that I am willing to share to help educate children in school and teachers alike, however there is little-no platform for it to reach people. #toughone
Please let me know if you would like any of these resources or more information. Shout out to Mary, Kate and Mike for the best module @ChiuniEdu - so grateful to have been part of it. The only teacher training course to offer a whole module on Citizenship #edutwitter@chiuni#BLM
2/2 We created 4 different approaches to tackling racial prejudice within schools and created a range of resources. I am more than happy to share these with anyone who may want them. #BlackLivesMatter#TinyVoiceTuesdayUnites#edutwitter
Today I have found an old assignment from university that is very very relevant today. We were incredibly lucky to have a whole module dedicated to citizenship, and our "scenario" was on racial prejudice. 1/2 #BlackLivesMatter#GeorgeFloyd#BLMUK
The Prime Minister has confirmed our intention to open schools and nurseries more widely from 1 June, subject to our five tests being met. All children, including under 5s, will be eligible for testing.
Just four of many comments completely trivialising our profession. Absolutely sick to death of how much teacher bashing there is going on. #NONSENSE#TeacherAppreciationWeek
