This week I hosted an employers breakfast, inviting local businesses to hear about our careers programme, how they could support our young people & how we can work together to build a network of passionate people, who want to improve the opportunities our young people have.

Alongside the Christmas cards to our staff, Year 7 and Year 9 students had the opportunity to write Christmas cards to residents and staff at @OvergateHospice during the last week of term. The cards were dropped off alongside a wonderful cake kindly made by one of our parents 🫶

Also, this week our Y7 & Y8 students had the opportunity to write thank you cards to staff. Over 500 postcards organised today, ranging from thanking our canteen staff, our student wellbeing team & their favourite teachers. What a lovely thing for staff to recieve tomorrow 🥰

Lovely end to the term. Had over 50 students across volunteer to stay after school and make Christmas Cards for @OvergateHospice patients. One lovely parent made a cake for me to take down for the wonderful staff in the hospice. The CEO, Tracey & her team were thrilled 🎅🏼💕

Last week our wonderful student volunteers spent two days after school picking up litter in the community. 😃 They headed to Beechwood Park to ensure it was lovely and tidy, 🛝 before tidying the streets around the academy. 💚
