Our little pumpkins 🎃 did an exploding volcano pumpkin experiment!! 🌋 Students learned all about what happens when we mix vinegar, soap, and baking soda. So much fun!! #FA22Interns @DSC_SOE

One of our favorite things to do in class is TPS! My students love sharing their opinions, inferences, and text based evidence with the class! It gives them a chance to learn from one another and build communication skills. Love love love 🥰📚🦉✏️

Up, up, and away!✈️ The Gravity Olympics was a success in this classroom! The students tried to overcome gravity with the paper airplanes they engineered, coffee filters, and balloons. But have no fear, these eagles truly had lots of theories to overcome gravity up their sleeves.

Today was so much fun!!! Our amazing owls at #OldKings raised over 2400 dollars for children who have cancer. Today we SOAKED OUT CANCER!!!! Miss Gargon got soaked!! The kids loved it!! (Peep the helicopter) I love being an Owl!! 🦉

Our little detectives had so much fun comparing the traits of pumpkins! We made inferences on why we think pumpkins can look so different & learned that they turn orange because of a substance called carotene! It was a great day. 🕵‍♂️🕵‍♀️🎃 @OKESOwls #science #1stgrade

Our Owls are NUTS 🌰 about our new class books from @Scholastic. The kids love finding acorns at recess, as we’ve been reading the life cycle of an oak tree.🌳🌱 Today we surprised them with their very own “Little Acorn” book by Melanie Joyce.
