So proud of @BlairRidgePS students! Together we collected 448 lbs of food, which is equivalent to 373 meals for those in our community! 🥫 #DDSB #FTNDurham

A few changes to this week’s athletics schedule! 🐾 @BlairRidgePS

Our Bobcat staff were blessed with some kind words from the students today, showcasing the many qualities that make them special and have lasting impacts on our school community for R.A.K. day. Shoutouts to @MissSkok and her grade 4s for leading the way of Kindness @DDSBSchools

Today our Gr. 7 & 8s had virtual Q&As with a microbiologist and a mission design engineer from #NASA. Thank you #JessicaDeaver & #LukeBury! Our students loved every minute and learned so many things. 🔬🚀 #DDSB #IgniteLearning @BlairRidgePS

It’s construction day in Mrs. Wadley’s Gr. 8 class! Students applied their knowledge of pythagorean theorem as well as area and perimeter to construct gingerbread masterpieces … Durham now faces a graham cracker shortage. 😋 #DDSB #IgniteLearning @BlairRidgePS

It’s a busy week in the Bobcat Den. @BlairRidgePS 🐾

We will #NeverForget! @BlairRidgePS Bobcats worked together to create this display outside of our classroom and finalized their thank you letters to current troops, picking an operation of their choice to send it to. #IgniteLearning #DDSB

Happy #Diwali from the Bobcats at @BlairRidgePS! Gr. 4s worked together to create a #rangoli, signifying luck, prosperity, positive energy and a warm welcome to others. #DDSB #FestivalOfLights @equity_DDSB ✨

Every child matters - but what does it truly mean to matter? Today @BlairRidgePS Bobcats read #StolenWords and shared what it means to them. 🧡 #DDSB #OrangeShirtDay

[Miss. Skok's Classroom @MissSkok]

Fun fact: butterflies taste with their feet and enjoy nectar, overripe fruit and @Gatorade. @JuliePayettePS #FDKs got to watch one of their butterflies unravel its long, straw-like tongue and have a drink. #DDSB @DDSBEarlyYears

[Miss. Skok's Classroom @MissSkok]

We have butterflies! The FDKs @JuliePayettePS were so excited to see one of their #butterflies emerge from its #chrysalis today! At first, their wings are wet and time is needed to dry off and gain the strength to fly. 🦋 #DDSB

[Miss. Skok's Classroom @MissSkok]

Hurray! @JuliePayettePS FDKs finally got to see one of their caterpillars go through the process of #metamorphosis! To see this special change, press play. 🐛 @DDSBEarlyYears @DDSB_STEM #DDSB

[Miss. Skok's Classroom @MissSkok]

Quick, how many legs does a caterpillar have? @JuliePayettePS FDKs learned the answer is 6 - right at the front. Prolegs are at the back and they don’t count as legs. Instead, our caterpillars use them for balance and to stick to things. 🐛 #DDSB @DDSBEarlyYears

[Miss. Skok's Classroom @MissSkok]

Our caterpillars have grown so much! Last week, @JuliePayettePS FDKs began their inquiry exploring the #ButterflyLifeCycle. We can’t wait to see how our caterpillar friends continue to change in the coming days. 🐛 @DDSBEarlyYears #DDSB
