Wow @northernassist Two trains cancelled Newcastle to Hartlepool today so you send a two carriage train at 15.40 even I know that’s not going to be enough for effectively 3 trains worth of people.
When is this going to be sorted why do you keep cancelling trains?

📢 UNITE WINS WINTER FUEL PAYMENT VOTE AT LABOUR CONFERENCE
People do not understand, I do not understand, how our new @UKLabour government can cut the winter fuel allowance for pensioners and leave the super-rich untouched.

How can the pockets of pensioners be picked while the 50 richest families worth £500 billion are left untouched. #wealthtax#tuc2024
The 50 richest families in Britain are worth £500 billion, the same as half of Britain. To tax them 1% more is nothing but £300 is a lot of money for pensioners trying to put their heating on. #TUC2024#WealthTax. @LBC interview with @NickFerrariLBC ➡️ https://t.co/PL593CEmiN
Yaxley-Lennon claims he has travelled overseas in search of a safe location for his family. He's complaining that the actions of others are now compromising that safety. Someone let Alanis Morissette know we've got a new verse for her...
After being part of rally & march on Saturday in London I really didn’t think less than a week later there’d be violence & riots in my hometown of Hartlepool Thankfully today has shown there are many more in town against this behaviour than for it
#standuptoracism#Hartlepool
Yesterday there were Nazi salutes during the violent London riot, violence and riots also erupted in Hartlepool and elsewhere. This follows Tuesday night’s riot outside the Southport Mosque and Islamic Centre. Chants during these riots included “Allah. Allah. Who the **** is Allah” and “We want our country back.” The racism and Islamophobia was explicit.
People were inside the Southport Mosque when it was pelted with bricks, leaving the Muslim community fearing for their lives. A Southport resident said: “It was a targeted hit on that Mosque, it was nothing to do with those little girls."
This followed a misinformation campaign on social media spread by various elements of the far right, falsely claiming that the attacker was an asylum seeker and giving him a fake Muslim name, that went viral.
Such grotesque exploitation of a horrific and brutal attack on children and others in Southport in order to incite religious and racial hatred to build a far right street movement, must be robustly condemned and face the full force of the law. This particularly pertinent in light of the mobilisation of over 15,000 at the Tommy Robinson demonstration on Saturday 27th July. At this difficult time it is vital that we don’t allow the racists and Islamophobes to divide us.
Meanwhile many have demonstrated exactly that - opposition to racism & Islamophobia and unity in the community. The chairman of the Mosque in Southport Ibrahim Hussein says he’s been moved to tears by the kindness of the community after Tuesday’s violence. Watching the Southport community unite, help repair the damage to the Mosque and clean up the mess left by fascists has been deeply moving.
The lessons of history on defeating racist and fascist movements are clear: unite, stand up to and mobilise against fascism, racism, Islamophobia and antisemitism.
📣 Thousands of anti-racists arrive in Whitehall to resist fascist Tommy Robinson and his racist supporters 📣
There are many many more of us than you ✊🏽
