Over 3 dozen @upj_education seniors graduated today. The mortar boards represent the dedication & passion our students β all of our grads οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½ have for the positive development of students. As well, weβre proud of Dr. Conrad Barnyak who served as @PittJohnstown Grand Marshall today!

Today we learned about ways we can help our Earth! The kiddos did a SUPER job brainstorming and writing about what they can do to help!! They colored an Earth and placed their handprint on their Earth. Their small hands will change the world! ππ
Today we learned about sequence words by making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! FIRST we spread the peanut butter on a piece of bread. NEXT we spread the jelly on top of the peanut butter. THEN we put the top piece of bread on. LAST WE ATE IT!! ππ #makinglearningfun
Reading to these kiddos always puts a smile on my face π Today we discussed fiction and nonfiction, character feelings, and the who, what, and where of our story! πβ€οΈ
Our weather unit was a SUCCESS!!! Our kinderkids became WEATHER WATCHERS (check out their weather watching glasses) we observed the weather each day. They also learned about seasons, meteorologists, weather tools, types of weather, the water cycle, clouds & much more! ππ¦

MATH HELPS US BLOOM!!! One of my favorite lessons! Our kinderkids were able to showcase so many math skills while making their flowers! This lesson was great to differentiate and a perfect kickoff for SPRING! πΌπ
Yesterday I had the privilege of sharing a story with 1st grade!! We had a blast reading βWould you rather be a Bullfrog?β and we stopped throughout the story and talked about choices we would make and WHY! It is SO important to talk with students about making choices! β€οΈ
3 days of learning and fun! We learned about word families and rhyming words, made graphs, added, practiced writing, tried new things, dreamed of where we would go, danced, sang, created art, and of course HAD FUN! My mentor and I had a blast creating this wall with the kiddos!
We LOVE green eggs and ham! Today we learned about the -am family, rhyming words, and predictions. We even made a class graph and we tried something new! Their hats say βI will TRY green eggs and ham.β π³β€οΈπ
