"Science is simply the word we use to describe a method of organizing your curiosity." -- Tim Minchin
@NobleCrossing scientists explore the relationship between potential energy and speed to design and build a solution to protect their egg in a collision. And they practiced experimental design, measuring, data collection, charting, finding patterns in data, making predictions...
@NobleCrossing 2nd graders explored through hands-on activities at @IndianaMuseum STEAM Days. We explored the ISS, built and raced cars, made pottery, flew planes, designed and built race cars and much more.
@NobleCrossing kinders are exploring animal structures and learned that some animals camouflage to hide from predators. They hid their own moths around our room. #STEAMeducation
These @NobleCrossing firsties became weather watchers this week. We explored how to prepare for severe weather and created P̶u̶r̶d̶u̶e̶ Noblesville themed breeze buddies to help predict storms. 😉
I appreciate that an enthusiastic @NobleCrossing 3rd grade scientist reached out to @BrianWilkes59wx about our STEAM class' weather activities. Thank you for the video Brian! We kept our eyes on those stratus clouds today.

@NobleCrossing roller coaster engineers ask the important questions. What works? What doesn't work? How can we improve our solution? #STEAM#STEAMeducation
These @NobleCrossing Tigers built paper airplanes & tested how far they’d glide while carrying “cargo”. They discussed how to gradually add weight, how to collect data, and how to use their data to make predictions for future test flights.

"My plane glided 4 feet further when I added weight." "I think I have more lift because my wings are larger." "Maybe if you thrust up more it will go further." Engaging discussions in the @NobleCrossing#STEAMclassroom
The use of #STEAM journals for vocab, writing/sketching ideas & concepts, collecting data, & recording results has been fun to watch. Students love having their own spot for their ideas & notes. Being able to go back and reference vocab/ideas has been helpful.
