Good Morning - all Durham District School Board schools will be closed today, January 18th. All in class learning, child care, recreation and Hub programming will also be closed for the day.

All three motions passed at the Special Board meeting tonight! We'll continue to have reporting of COVID cases when we return in person, kindergarten students will be masked and hopefully ๐ค vaccine clinics for staff and students will be organized by the Dept of Health!
Our Kindness Ninja Board. Each week it will be updated with a new way ss are caught being kind. When someone is caught being kind by a teacher or friend, it is written under their name and shared with the whole class so that we can all give them the appreciation they deserve. โค
Earlier this week we started our "Gift of Kindness" Countdown to Winter Break. As a class we co-created the ideas for ways we can be kind, and then each student at an opportunity to draw what it looks like. โค
Today we got a special surprise in the mail from our Virtual Buddies @SWS_PS. Ss were so excited to receive a letter and friendship pins made by #team113 in Ms. Nash and Ms. George's Class. @NashTEACH2reach ๐ฅฐ We are already working on our package back to our new friends.

What better way to end our pumpkin inquiry than by adding a class set of pumpkins to our pumpkin patch dramatic play area for students to choose from? Students loved having a chance to decorate their own pumpkin to take home.๐๐
Today was our first day starting unplugged coding. Students had to help their friend find the letter we were looking for and avoid all the obstacles in their way.
