A6: I have learned that giving grades to students isn't the only route! We want to keep our students motivated to learn and when receiving bad grades that will not work at times. We should push for knowledge & understanding #novaedchat @barbersclass #barbersclass
@MsPettyTweets @barbersclass Yes! I am focusing mainly in special education and with that most of those students cannot be compared. by looking at where they started and where they ended up we can see if the goals have been met. Which in my opinion would be motivating when meeting those goals.
A4: In the classroom, we need to accommodate the needs of all students. We need to create a learning environment that provides opportunities for all students. We should be grading students based on their specific learning ability. @barbersclass #barbersclass#novaedchat
A5: Thank you for sharing good resources! One day I will be an educator( hopefully), I am hoping that when grading, I will remember to stay very organized and not fall behind to ensure that my future students are receiving feedback quickly @barbersclass #barbersclass#novaedchat
@MsPettyTweets @barbersclass During the school year, I feel that I would gain the understanding of what their strengths and weaknesses are through different meetings with the students and parents. For example, if I am grading an assessment for grammar and main idea concepts and I know that student struggles.
A3: As a future educator, I would like to give more practice time, rather than graded time! When students are knowing that something is graded, more stress is added and achievement levels could be lower. @barbersclass #barbersclass#novaedchat
@MsPettyTweets @barbersclass I really like your point! I didn't really think that doing those extra things would be beneficial! It also would motivate students to remember to do certain things! Thank you!
A1: I would want my future students to follow directions that I have listed. When this doesn't happen, it could be very difficult and stressful @barbersclass #barbersclass#novaedchat
A2: Grades are to show that students have mastered a skill. But many times, students may not have an accurate understanding of the material. Also, if students are acting out or having issues at home, this could give a negative effect #novaedchat @barbersclass #barbersclass
