Currently working 12hr days just to get my lessons planned as I'm having to start from scratch again on each one😩 There just aren't enough hours in the day to feel productive!
Started at a new school this September that only supply staff with Chromebooks. All of my past lessons have been done on SMARTNotebook 😕 Does anyone know a way to convert SMARTNotebook into Google Slides (have tried extracting to PPT first but it doesn't work😭)
Since my NQT year Ive had an emergency box. In my cupboard I have a stash locked away of things I’d need if I forgot lunch/had a parents Eve/ have to stay late/ general supplies/emergency biscuits if someone had a bad day.
Got to do my restock tomorrow (here’s last years)
👓Online CPD👓

Can anyone recommend any books for Teaching and Learning? Can be maths specific or not, I don't mind! I just feel as though it was a real strength when I finished my PGCE and don't want to lose touch with it all 👩🏫📖📚 #mathsreading#edutwitter#teachingandlearning#education
So my new academic years resolution is this...
To use this platform as a way to document the highs and lows of my teaching year, so that I have something to look back on and remind me why I chose the most crazy rewarding career❤(2/2)
#newyearsresolution#reflect#teachertwitter
I guess this is the time of year for reflection💭 and for me, I wish I had documented more emotions and moments from my year. Be it kind comments, supportive moments, moments of stress or just times where students have made me laugh...and there have been many! (1/2)
End of a (pretty short) chapter of life leaving AGS today! Will really miss the staff and students. Could not have asked for a better, more supportive environment for my NQT year - especially in the middle of the pandemic! They will always feel part of my extended family #ohana
Love it when students say they enjoy your lessons! Double lesson with Year 10 today doing a past paper and they actually said they were looking forward to the next one😂🎉

@missgm5 This is probably a bit late, but I've just finished transformations with 2 classes and MathsPad have some really great activities! And theres a Transformers powerpoint on Tes which my students LOVED too😊 hope the obs went well!
Love this resource from MathsPad!😍
With Covid restrictions keeping me in the box, explaining how to use tracing paper is a nightmare😰 Hoping this will be my lifesaver with Year 8 and Year 10 tomorrow!!

We now have 2 cohorts of new teachers, and 2 cohorts of students who haven´t experienced "exam season". For better or worse next year is going to be a sharp learning curve for lots of people.
I’ve just thought of a reason why corresponding angles (when a transversal cuts parallel lines) have to be equal: it’s so that the angle you turn away from the direction of the path matches the angle you turn back.
