Has anyone else had every COVID symptom but continually tested negative?! Also, tips for managing a sore throat & feeling like your lungs are on fire welcome 🙏🏽 🔥 🤒
@Ms_Wilsonsays 2/2 My school allowed me to make the decision on whether I was honest, partially honest or created a cover story & they would support my decision. I went with completely honest & it’s made my life in school a lot happier & I have a mutual respect with my students …
@Ms_Wilsonsays Agree with you, recently had time off due to my partner’s cancer diagnosis & treatment & I was honest with my students. Many have family members going through a similar situation & feel more comfortable talking to me. I also share happy times too, like our wedding next year! 1/2
@MissFraserPE__ If I can find it, I have a rounders interview lesson that got me the job during my PGCE year .. focused on using the long barrier in fielding.. if you’re interested, send me your email & I’ll have a look on numerous memory sticks this evening
@MrAldersonTeach I give the whole class 30 seconds to talk to the person next to them & go back to the original student now another student has shared the answer with them. Or I scaffold down the question until you see the “lightbulb” moment
@jwalms93 Our students didn’t put names on anything, only their candidate numbers! Once everything is completed, departments are putting names to numbers. Comepletely impartial
@EGuthriePE I always include my teaching philosophy and how I would contribute to the whole school values in the covering letter. Personal statement is about yours skills/experience/specialisms. Good luck ✨
Every teacher I know is running on empty. There’s too much to do. There’s too much pressure (some from ourselves) to get this right because it actually matters. Too many conflicting pressures. And still teaching. This is not on. And no one seems to be listening. 1/2
@MissCampionPE This was me! Looking back I got into my own head & lost confidence! During my latest interview, the pressure was off as I already had a job(science) & they said my personality stood out and I got the job (PE)! It’s so hard but try not to put the pressure on and stay confident! ✨

It’s a government funded course for subjects that have a shortage.. you attend classes for around 6-12 months & qualify to teach the subject! I did physics & loved it!
@LisleMiss I always put it in my closing paragraph. “I am a passionate, dedicated & positive individual with a sense of humour, who possesses the personal and professional qualities to succeed at *insert school*”
