Today we explored combining numbers together as part of our Maths NSPCC Day. We enjoyed adding together different groups of passengers onto the bus. Then we explored creating our own addition stories #Numicon #EYFSMaths @OUPPrimary @MathsAtBartons

We have been exploring the number 5. We have used the Numicon to find different ways of making 5, explored the composition of 5 using double sided counters and created our own number 5 posters. @MathsAtBartons @OUPPrimary #numicon #eyfsmaths

We had loads of fun exploring halving! We travelled round the space using our funky footwork. When we heard the whistle, we had to freeze and find a floor dot. With our partner we needed to halve the amount of cubes and share our findings with the class. @MathsAtBartons

Numicon Day!

In Maths this week we have been very busy exploring numbers using our Numicon Shapes. We have been using the part-part-whole model to record our findings.

Elm Class this week have been exploring height and length. We had lots of fun drawing round ourselves and measuring how many footprints long we were!

We have been exploring capacity this week.
One child said, “Let’s measure to see who has the most water. I think it’s me because my bottle is the tallest.”
The other child replied, “We need to check by pouring them into a bottle the same size.” @MathsAtBartons
