@ESnuggerud@tyLanasaurusrex Hi Ellie! This is something I hadn't thought much about either. I think extracurricular activities are really important. They make school exciting and allow students to build relationships with other students outside of the classroom. #PSTPLN#CEP416
@L_Wright07@tyLanasaurusrex Hi Lauren! I also want to find a school district that supports teachers. I think it is important to be in a community that values and respects each other. It would also be great to be in a school district that is creative and fun. #PSTPLN#CEP416
@tyLanasaurusrex A5: I will look for a district that has a supportive community. This may look like teachers and school staff who help each other out and collaborate. I will also look for a district that is not far from my home so I can be in the same community as my students #PSTPLN#CEP416
@heathermcardle5@tyLanasaurusrex I am using Google Classroom for the first time this semester. I found it confusing at first, but I like it now. I also really like Flipgrid. It makes it fun by letting you add stickers to videos and it is a fun platform to look at. #CEP416#PSTPLN
@tyLanasaurusrex A4: One of my favorite online teaching resources is Weebly. This is a great and easy way to make a class website and keep parents informed. Go Math is a great website for students to use during technology time too #CEP416#PSTPLN
@KahnAlea@tyLanasaurusrex Hi! I agree that problem solving is a necessary life skill. Students need to be able to think outside the box when they are presented with a challening task. Problem solving will help them in many areas of life. #PSTPLN#CEP416
@madelynfabry@SPotomak@tyLanasaurusrex @MrLostetter I like how you mentioned that struggling is a part of problem solving. I also want my students to know it is normal to make mistakes. I want them to know that mistakes help us grow and I think problem solving is a great way to do this. #PSTPLN#CEP416
@tyLanasaurusrex A3: Problem solving is an important skill because it helps students think realistically about problems. It gives students a new way of thinking about a problem. I will do this by using technology to develop worksheets or slides that support this skill. #PSTPLN#CEP416
@SPrzybylo @tyLanasaurusrex Conventions are a great idea especially because we will be surrounded by so many educators who want to learn more. I liked that you mentioned asking for help when you need it too. It is important that we remember we are always learning and can still ask for help #PSTPLN#CEP416
@alyssavndrnk@tyLanasaurusrex Hi Alyssa! I really liked that you mentioned reaching out to alumni. That is a great way to hear from people who have already been through the season you are in and I bet they would have great suggestions for teaching #CEP416#PSTPLN
@tyLanasaurusrex A2: I can internationally grow my PLN by staying in contact with my education friends here at MSU. We can create a Facebook group or group text to share what we are learning during student teaching and our careers #CEP416#PSTPLN
@GabbyBrandt2 @tyLanasaurusrex Hi Gabby! This is a great point! Before we form targeted instruction for each student, we must first know where they are at. Once we know how they are coming into the classroom and how they learn best, we can form instruction that meets their individual needs #PSTPLN#cep416
@L_Wright07@tyLanasaurusrex Hi Lauren! I agree. To properly form instruction for our students' needs, we must first know where they are it. It is great you mentioned including oral, visual, and kinesthetic representations as well because this will target the different learning styles. #PSTPLN#cep416
@tyLanasaurusrex A1: Hi! To meet the learning needs of all students I think we need to first figure out where all our students are at. This is important because each student comes in at different levels and finding out what they don't know allows us to form instruction for them #PSTPLN#cep416
