It’s been 74 days since 42 school children, young children full of dreams for the future, were abducted from their school in Askira-Uba, Borno state and there’s been no update on efforts made to rescue them. @officialABAT@ProfZulum@HQNigerianArmy#BringBackOurChildren
I keep hearing people say, nobody is coming to save you. Duh. My husband is absolutely coming to save me.
Now, will he arrive with a 45 minute lecture? Yes.
Will he start with, this could have been avoided…? Absolutely.
Will he remind me of the exact day he warned me? Without missing a single detail.
Will he throw in several, I told you so’s just for emphasis? Of course.
But after all the unnecessary TED Talk… he will still save me.
So technically, somebody is coming. 🤣
UPDATE: The victims of yesterday afternoon's brutal bandit attacks across communities of Sauna Ward in Talata Mafara LGA, Zamfara State, are being laid to rest.
Behind every grave is a family whose life has been changed forever. 25 innocent people mostly farmers lost their lives in this senseless attack.
May Allah (SWT) forgive their shortcomings, grant them Aljannah Firdaus and give their families the strength to bear this painful loss. Ameen.
Northwest Nigeria cannot continue to normalize mass burials caused by insecurity.
This thing you people do to consultants that relocate and restart their training /switch specialties is very upsetting. Posting their pictures everywhere, making snide remarks. It really needs to stop.
DANDUME IN TEARS AS BANDITS KILL PROMINENT FARMER, ALHAJI BALA SANIN KAWO
Bandits have reportedly kidnapped and killed Alhaji Bala Sanin Kawo, a prominent farmer and businessman from Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Alhaji Bala was regarded as one of the most influential agricultural figures in Dandume, producing thousands of bags of farm produce annually and creating employment opportunities for over 5,000 people. He was the eldest son of Alhaji Sani Kawo, one of the most respected farmers in the history of the local government.
According to reports, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Alhaji Bala and one of his aides, Bara'u Kwaro, were abducted by bandits while returning from one of his farms near Dantakari town. Sadly, at about 1PM today, the bandits reportedly contacted his family and informed them that they had killed him, directing relatives to the location where his body could be recovered.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, friends and the people of Dandume the strength to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss.
This tragedy comes amid worsening insecurity in Dandume and neighboring local governments, where residents have endured repeated attacks, abductions and killings in recent days.
“Katsina State Government wishes to announce” is a devastatingly poorly worded statement from the state government. A major general lost his life to animals in YOUR state, his hometown, on the soil he swore to protect and you have the audacity to “wish to announce”
Allah ya isa
There’s NO wisdom in reintegrating any kind of terrorist back into any society. Imagine taking a walk on a normal day after surviving years of insurgency with no access to psychological support and coming face to face with someone who raped your womenfolk and killed your kinsmen!
How is it that it is already established that he died of hypertension? Do bandits now have well-equipped medical doctors capable of performing autopsy in their enclave?
Again, let’s not forget the children still being held in captivity, nor the worsening insecurity across Northern Nigeria.
To be honest, I didn’t even acknowledge what today is because celebrations feel meaningless when so many families are living in fear, grief, and uncertainty.
Arewa, we have to do better. We cannot keep treating security issues as background noise while our people continue to suffer. Every kidnapped child, every displaced family, every life lost should remain at the forefront of our conversations and demands.
Security is not a luxury. It is the most basic responsibility of any society. Until our people can live without fear, there is still work to be done.
I hope the people who have been involved in terrorism one way or the other in this country never get the chance to repent.
I hope hell never becomes forbidden for them.
I have no hope for justice in this world, I hope in the next life they suffer immensely.
Today marks 56 days since my friend’s father was abducted along Musawa-Matazu road on his way to his ancestral village of Kogari.
The 50m ransom demanded was negotiated to 15m, 50+ days we weren’t able to raise the negotiated ransom price.
Kidnappings have not abated in Katsina. If anything, it worsens. People are being terrorised on a daily basis. Worse still, the government of @dikko_radda seems to have abandoned the people to their own devices.
ALERT: This is the video of travelers humiliated by bandits after they were intercepted near Tsafe while returning to Gusau, Zamfara State. According to accounts shared by relatives, some of the victims, said to be from Tudun Waila area in Gusau town, have allegedly been held for four days.
Families are pleading for urgent intervention as fears grow over their safety.
How many more civilians must endure such ordeals before effective security measures are put in place?
If we don’t solve the almajirai issue completely, we won’t have peace. Yayan da iyaye suke tarbiyantarwa, ya aka qare dasu, balle wanda aka sakarwa titi ya musu tarbiyya?
😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
If there's one person in this life that dedicates du'as to finding a good husband, it is a female doctor in Arewa.
Because wetin we dey use our eyes see for hospitals ehn? 😮💨😮💨😭😭💔
Allah hoinu tan.
No mind them jare. Drug-induced psychosis is on the ICD-11 and yes, the link between between migration and Schizophrenia is clearly documented in literature.
Let them keep arguing blindly😂
