I still canβt believe this exists in the universe and that I made it π«Ά. Looking forward to being able to wear it again.

13 years ago today, Halo 4 dropped, and introduced me to Halo.
I built this H4 Master Chief suit from cardstock and bondo β and now itβs on display at the @MoPOP Museum of Pop Culture
From my first Halo to museum exhibitβ¦ wild. π

@lastchalice@MoPOP Honestly, I was SUPER into DDR up until H4 dropped π I competed in DDR, so once I stopped competing I was off to different things and halo4 became part of my personality πππ also I got my best friend into the game, and she LOVED it too. So it was just peak times
This project fused embedded systems + ML model training + hardware integration β all running locally on a microcontroller.
The goal: make voice-controlled circuits that are secure, responsive, and entirely internet-agnostic.

@Allfurball9 Define run.
I canβ¦ shuffle quickly in one of my suits, and run like Iβm mildly inconvenienced in the other.
Can I catch an ice cream truck? Probably not. And now Iβm sad about that
The voices in my head are telling me to build a circuit that the faster I run, the faster the LEDs in my next armor set will pulseβ¦ I know how much the everyone loves sprint in the games. π

@saximaphone Itβs pretty darn accurate. The downside for my current model is I trained it in a quiet room, while I was calm. Fun fact, cons are NOT quiet and I am NOT calm, so I will be retraining the model to trigger more consistently even with a lot of noise background
This year has been all about curiosity and hands-on innovation.
I designed & 3D-printed a full Halo-inspired armor set β then built and trained my own machine-learning voice controller to power it. β‘π€
Completely offline. No internet. All custom.

@saximaphone For less than 50$ anyone can do this, and program unlimited voice commands. I completely think this tech is a game changer for cosplay and all kinds of other projects
@saximaphone Itβs actually SUPER cool. It is not a cloud LLM β I trained a lightweight local model that runs entirely on my Arduino RP2040 for voice control.
@CrazyJerBear1 I know ππ the noise pollution made the circuit trigger harder to do. I trained the model in a quiet room, so I will be retaining it with noise in the background to improve the trigger capability!
