I am HERE for random people hearing me utter a few words and immediately asking if I I’m into Kath and Kim. It’s noice, it’s unyousual, it’s different.
Everyone is wondering whether my kid will have a laid back aussie accent or start talking like a he’s straight out of Goodfellas when the sad fact is he’ll probably sound like the GPS lady
I imagined maternity leave quite differently, it did not involve organising opossum removal or my sons intense love of 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.
Remember Warheads?? Even after a bad experience you’re eager to try all the other flavours … weirdly addictive once you give in to the peer pressure of it all … this is also being a parent, yes?
@operation_rosie I agree- we should be talking more about how policy and behaviour is affecting the health/well being of others. I was exposed, currently negative, not required to isolate but I’m not comfortable being around others until I know I’m in the clear. I refuse to be a spreader!!
@operation_rosie I see your point but it might appear that way in press coverage and it’s highly possible that that’s the case. No doubt it’s being handled poorly all over the world right now - restrictions lifted, cases soaring. I’m in iso alone with my 7 week old, thanks to lax policies.
Me binge watching Offspring not because it’s good but out of nostalgia for
- knee high boots and tiny scarves
- Fitzroy alleyways
- barely working actors I used to serve coffee to
- terrace houses
- Melbourne pubs
- Carlton Gardens
- 112 tram
- walking home in last nights clothes
