First week of training completed at the new job! I am shattered to say the least but the way the team has bonded in just 5 days goes to show that with the right people work doesnโt feel like work ๐
So on Thursday I found out Iโve been given the role of Class Teacher at a fantastic new SEN school who has revolutionised the way their students are educated! I look forward to starting next month! ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐ซโค๏ธ
A new starter activity for my level 2 UPS group who are struggling with their English! They were pretty impressed with this one โ Wordle 219 3/6

I was scared of what my PGCE might look like in a pandemic. How wrong I was, the Sport lectures made sure we received everything we needed and made sure we enjoyed ourselves at the same time. I cannot stress my gratitude for this uni and itโs staff enoughโค๏ธ๐ #youaremymarjon
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey 2021 results are in ๐

Today I had my first appraisal as an ECT and it was the proudest moments Iโve had since starting. It showed that all my hard work has been recognised and I have some steps to help me to keep moving forward. I was even recommended for a promotion after only 2 months on the job ๐
What a day yesterday was! Proud I am finally @MarjonTEP and @marjonuni graduate. After 4 long years, a pandemic and 2 degrees later I can finally say Iโve done it. My marjon journey has come to and end but as Rob W said yesterday โYou are OUR Marjonโ and that will never change.
Just received an email from a student saying they love my lessons and feel really happy in them! What a way to finish my first term of teaching! Certainly makes working on your birthday that much better! Now to drive back to Cornwall before graduating on Tuesday at @marjonuni ๐ฉ๐ผโ๐
I spent my last day being 22 smashing my first ECT observation! Itโs been a tough week but to finish on such a high really has made it all worth it! Maintaining my nick name โMary Berryโ by baking for the department! Loving the department and job makes life feel so much better!
Today was the worse day of teaching so far, every button tested. But ended that day with a parent who was just so thankful I was able to convince her son back to college. So I guess the moral of the story is even on bad days always look for that silver lining ๐โจ
A big win for me this week! First full week teaching, first netball game after two years and I was able to see my parents for the first time in a while. Come away feeling really positive ready for a day of planning and marking tomorrow for the week ahead ๐๐
First day back to netball training last night after Covid and injury! Got asked to join a local team since relocating to Somerset and they all put me at ease, was very enjoyable and Iโm looking forward to my first game on Saturday! ๐๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
So today was my first day teaching after finishing uni in July! Such an amazing department and great kids! Shattered but cannot wait to go back tomorrow!
So excited that I have secured my first teaching role in Yeovil for September! Cutting it a bit fine but so excited! On to bigger and better things! ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐๐ฅ
