Huge shoutout to my awesome 6th graders for making me get out of my comfort zone today! Holding that snake at our Rainforest Animals Assembly will definitely be the highlight of my week! @BearCreekEtown@etownPAschools
Powerful thoughts from the US Dept of Ed in this week’s reading for #ED5670 about the way educators can use technology to “make classroom learning more relevant and authentic” & expand learning communities far beyond the classroom.
End of year activity alert! Have students fill a digital time capsule with this template, attach to an email in Gmail, & schedule it to be sent years in the future. https://t.co/j5lf6qcsMw

@teacher2teacher Have a wonderful summer and know that this room will always be a place you can come back to (as long as you have permission from your new teachers) and be welcomed with open arms. ❤️
@teacher2teacher Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s a sign of a good teacher, not an incompetent one. The solutions to a lot of your problems are walking the halls of your building right now.
@HistoryJEB My Ss and I love @gimkit ! Super interactive and really takes the game play to another level. There’s tons of game modes & a few times I’ve done a collab with my Ss where they got to make the questions! They loved it!
@OnlineMissG Yes! I found it to be a great way to check for understanding throughout a video rather than just a quiz at the end. Also holds Ss accountable for paying close attention throughout.
When summer PD is still all too relevant… learned today how @Newsela can be differentiated for reading levels after posting my #ED5670 flip about tech for differentiation just yesterday
What better way to kick off #ED5670 than a summer trade day all about student engagement! Excited to learn about more ways to engage Ss… and maybe some cool tech tools along the way!
So cool that Flip has added to their comment feature! What a great way to get Ss to continue interacting and providing peer feedback as well as T feedback #ED5670
Q: How can I help my 6th S’s visualize types of gov that are brand new to them - like theocracy, oligarchy, democratic republic, monarchy, etc.?
A: GUMMY BEARS!
These 6th grade cartographers are hard at work in their pods creating maps of the world using only butcher paper, construction paper, and a glue stick. #problemsolvers#tearacontinent#6thGradeSuperstars
Thank you to Bear Creek’s awesome PTO for sponsoring a farewell for our #6thgradesuperstars! Good luck at the middle school to our outstanding online students!
