A family from Kinonjeoshtegon First Nation in Manitoba held a rally outside of the Winnipeg Remand Centre demanding answers for the death of their daughter, 25-year-old Kiana Everett.
She was in custody at the centre last month when she died.

Vancouver police is reaching out to Canadian and US public, particularly in Portland and Diabetic support communities, for help in identifying this Black woman who was found deceased along Spanish Banks, Vancouver, September, 2022. The investigation into her death is still open.
