🕵️ We’re going on a shape hunt! 🔵⭕️🔷
Reception learners have worked hard this afternoon searching for shapes around our school and in our natural environment. We are recognising a range of 2D shapes with confidence!
Reception have been exploring our forest school today. We have been finding and collecting natural materials to create our own faces. We have loved speaking about how we feel and why 🌳
Look at our fantastic Reception learners! We are working hard to build and write our names, and are enjoying reading our new class book “Your name is a song” . 🎶
Nursery had a super moving up morning with their new teacher Mrs Abraham. We explored our new learning street and had lots of fun getting to know eachother 📚✏️
Year 2 and 2/3 had a fabulous day at Brynbach Park! We took part in bushcraft sessions, and enjoyed exploring and playing in the beautiful surroundings 🌴🌳🌲

Year 2 had a fabulous Abertiser Day for their topic “Let’s Celebrate!” We visited Bethany Church, who taught us all about Christian wedding ceremonies- we even got to act one out! What a super day 👰♀️🤵♂️ @EAS_Humanities @ALC3to16
Year 2 have made finishing touches to their Eisteddfod Clay crowns this week. We have assessed our creative work and used this to make improvements to our designs. @ALCExpressive
As part of our topic “Thank you for the music”, Year 2 have been collaborating to create a body percussion performance to their favourite songs. We have been building confidence in keeping the beat steady by clapping, clicking, stamping and tapping. @ALCExpressive 🎶🎼🎵
Year 2 loved participating in #WorldBookDay activities. They enjoyed our book buddy session with the older pupils, and got to share their favourite stories with each other. 📗📚📓
Year 2 have been enjoying reading Meerkat Mail and Sunny’s search for a new home. We have discussed how Sunny might be feeling, using some reasons to justify our answers. We have even been researching different habitats for Sunny to move to! 🌞🏠🌍 @EAS_LLCEnglish
