@ECR_Maths Big sigh of relief! Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the resources you’ve shared in the lead up to the exams, they’ve been excellent ☺️
6th form induction days will fast be here
What are people doing for Maths, Further Maths or Core Maths?
For Maths I like using the Underground Maths Teddy bear task
Further maths either an intro to complex numbers or decision maths
It would be good to get everyone's ideas 😊
Huge congratulations to Laura Brookes from @YateAcademyMath for being Sparx Maths Teacher of the Term, 1 of just 5 teachers awarded. Laura has driven a real change in the number of students successfully achieving 100% on compulsory homework. #Awesomework https://t.co/BYrQTU1CWd
📢 Ok, get this...at @SparxMaths we've created the most AWESOME GCSE Crossover Workbooks (1 per strand) to support revision for those Qs that appear on both Foundation and Higher tiers. All you've got to do is like and retweet this and I'll send you your FREE copy next week 📢
@Joulesclothing I am waiting to collect an item in store that I order online a few weeks ago. I haven’t heard anything yet about when my order will be in store. Please can you help me?
So we've finished making a Y11->A-Level transition pack. I did the Qs myself (sooo fun!)-just what students need to get fluent & prepare for the step-up. I've sent a copy to 600+people who asked (hands sore!). If I've missed you let me know by following @SparxMaths + RTing this.

Loci: I accidentally closed the document without saving but will remake it tonight for those who would like the original and not a screenshot of this Loci activity with typos! I also will be adding a second slide with trickier problems with 3 constraints
Finally produced a graphic to follow up my blog on alternative question types in Mathematics. Hopefully useful to someone. I'm printing a copy to put inside my planning folder to help remind me throughout the next academic year.
Wanted a little starting activity on SF of area and length. Wanted to look at effect of doubling the length of one side of a rectangle and how that will double the area but if both l and w are doubled then the area is four times the area. (I know only A is similar to the square)
Okay now I'm wondering about a shape split in two parts. What do we notice about the perimeter...
Maybe I should ask: In each square, is the perimeter of the red shape bigger, smaller or equal to that of the green shape?
