@Mrs_HollyHunter I am more of a visual and auditory learner, so this video was great. The guidelines of UDL (representation,expression & action, and engagement) were explained so it was easy to understand. I am constantly confused on the meaning of each guideline but this video cleared things up.

@Mrs_HollyHunter I found this read very useful but I found # 4 most important. We as teachers always need to plan around how the day is going. If an activity requires the children to sit and stay focused, planning it while their out of control or tired is not the time. Timing is everything.

@Ms_Gaschott I love the idea of using Skype as a way to connect parents to the classroom. For some parents it’s hard to take time off of work but Skype removes that problem leaving work but still being able to join the class.

@HymansonJacki I think is very beneficial for virtual fields to have the “companion collect” of activities that allows the students to prepare for the adventure they are about to take. I also like the idea of setting up the classroom to fit the theme of the field trip.

This will also teach children how to care for tech before working more closely with it. As teachers we need to teach children how to be respectful when using technology. #ElmsEdu

@Mrs_HollyHunter @Mrs_Finnerty I agree with you about #1 completely. As teachers we could expand the lesson by creating an I spy book with the pictures that children have taken. Children would be able to understand what it means to be an author, while also practicing literacy skills. #ElmsEdu
