@StevenMcilvenny @Cat_In_A_Box @DLgodlessbitch One doesn't accept valid science because "someone provided you" with evidence.
Like a rumour or gossip.
You synthesize all the available evidence in the world and make a judgment based on the application of sound epistemology.
@mail_american@MarkHamill YEs. Just like in 2020 , and just like the red was going to be in 2022.
Dems have outperformed expectations (and polls) in EVERY special election since 2020.
Turns out the American people don't love fascism as much as you think and hope.
Trump will be in prison next year.
Here we see this supposed Christian who hates the Bible SO much he totally ignores the verses that cause him any inconvenience.
This is how he follows 2 Timothy 2:24-25
@LouJersey777120@Creature047@Cat_In_A_Box@R2D2hat @StarLina_Vtuber @Lilith_Atheist The moral considerations were the realization that slaves were people with human rights. The notion of human rights is a relatively recent concept. It was a product of Enlightenment thinkers. Once people saw slaves as humans with rights, the immorality of slavery became obvious.
@Creature047@LouJersey777120@Cat_In_A_Box@R2D2hat @StarLina_Vtuber @Lilith_Atheist It's NOT ultimately wrong.
Ultimates are for fools.
But in the context of our morality, it's wrong.
NOT objectively (that's stupid)
Leviticus 25:44-46 -- You may buy slaves from the nations around you and bequeath them to your children as inherited property.
@Creature047@LouJersey777120@Cat_In_A_Box@R2D2hat @StarLina_Vtuber @Lilith_Atheist No. I mean like in the books of Exodus Leviticus and Ephesians where detailed instructions are given on how and where to buy slaves, how to pass them onto your kids as property and how to beat them without getting in trouble (all fine as long as they don't die too quickly)
@LouJersey777120@Creature047@Cat_In_A_Box@R2D2hat @StarLina_Vtuber @Lilith_Atheist But all of this is obvious to anyone who knows any history.
NONE of it requires a cosmic overlord with magic powers to tell us slavery is bad.
And as I've said, the Bible enthusiastically supports slavery.
