Does anybody have any good women and the vote/ women’s history lessons? We are changing up our Y9 course a little and I need a few lessons - we are an all girls school so I feel it’s very important we don’t just brush over women’s achievements!

Day 2 of Exploring the Holocaust yesterday. Looking at victims of the Holocaust, Terezin Ghetto and the development of the Final Solution. We finished off the evening with Dilemmas, choices and responses. Very hard hitting but influencing my teaching for sure!

Day 1 complete of our Exploring the Holocaust CPD. Already so many things to take back to my school and implement/ suggest! Finished the day off with how we approach the Holocaust through literature. A lot to think about for sure.

All landed safe and sound ☺️! Krakow > London we were on the BEA plane (I know nothing about planes) but Elise was excited as she hopes to be a pilot one day and even got invited in to meet the female pilot taking us home! 👩🏻‍✈️✈️

This was my second visit and probably most emotional. The girls have really taken away a lot from this learning experience, it was an insightful day for sure!

Yesterday, we visited Auschwitz-Birkenau, a profoundly moving experience. Our incredible guide shared her personal story, as her own uncle tragically lost his life there. We are so grateful for her powerful storytelling and the chance to reflect on this important history.
