The first day of our 2 day long 3rd Grade Seed Sale kicked off today. The 3rd grs each had a job they applied and prepared for. They did a fabulous job convincing me to spend money on seeds they had collected, counted and packaged. I ❤️ this @BESbulldogs tradition!
We’re incredibly proud of Ms. Rogers and deeply grateful for her exceptional leadership and support at Belvedere. Congratulations, @eroteaches, on your well-deserved award! 🎉💙
February 5-9 is National School Counseling Week!
School counselors work with students in a variety of different capacities, whether it is through classroom lessons, group sessions, or individual counseling.
Thank you, Ms. Ballard and Ms. Simpson, for all that you do at BES!
Our team gathered for breakfast to celebrate Ellen Rogers, our IB PYP Coordinator, winning the Justice Pyramid Outstanding Professional Employee award. Huge congratulations, Ms. Rogers! Your dedication to Belvedere is appreciated by teachers, staff, students, and families alike!
Some more HTWW unit highlights! I loved our fractured fairytales, hanging with our 1st grade buddies, sorting all the fractions, and learning all about our world through ecosystems, continents, oceans, plant and animal adaptations and more!
Another unit done in the blink of an eye! How the World Works was so much fun and we did a LOT of documentation to show our learning. See how our board looked week 1 vs. week 6!
Last week, our class reflected on our first PYP unit of the year, “Who We Are.” Now, we get to display our reflections and our board in the hallway for all to see!
These ladies are AMAZING! They work tirelessly to make our school a welcoming and safe place to learn. Their flexibility with all the outdoor spaces and projects we do makes for better learning experiences for our students which is important to them. ❤️
This week in our “Who We Are” PYP unit, my class is discovering change! Students came up with over 60 examples of change and we re-sorted them into multiple different categories. Each time we get to discuss our findings and add our new change generalization to our PYP board :) 🌍
Each student at Belvedere is mapping their individual Language Profile as a way of digging into our identities. Ms. Poplin charted her class’ languages after a whole class and then placed it outside the classroom door for everyone to see. @ibpyp@BESbulldogs
The month of May brought a ton of exciting events that helped close out the 2022-23 academic year! MUF&D held their annual fashion show, dog therapy helped us through finals, the graduating seniors were honored at the 183rd commencement, and much more! Congrats to all! #MiamiOH
