It's been a while but IM BACK on my teacher twitter!
It's been an insane year but lets goooo! I've also had time to develop all sorts of resources I might start sharing. First up, update my LGBT resources ready for History month π
I have been getting so many gifts from students recently. Apparently in Romania it's very common for students to get their female teachers gifts for #InternationalWomensDay! My flowers have already started arriving!
Had the wonderful @themariavincent joining my science classes this week via Skype a scientist. She talked about the universe and how to become an astronomer.
I learned a lot about the theories of how the end of the universe!
Having a rough week but I'm grateful that I made a group of friends that will force me to get out into nature. I'm looking forward to being forced out on this beautiful mountain trail tomorrow to take a break from work
"Miss, in one lesson you have changed everything i planned to do in my future"
I have a year 9 who is now switching from wanting a career in humanities to becoming an space geologist because of a lesson I taught about stars.
My students are struggling to understand the concept of a theory and how it changes as new evidence is presented, so I'm making them play Cluedo tomorrow in science
Running D&D games has now officially become part of my job, it feels surreal.
(Another science teacher let slip to students that I play dnd, so they went to the head of year to ask me if i would run dnd games for the socially anxious nerdy kids)
