Literally everything fell apart in the last year & a half but my heart is still full of so much gratitude. I’m still living inside of answered prayers.
I just watched the @Oprah special on kids going No Contact with their parents and, as someone who’s been no contact with their parents for years, I want to say one thing.
To the whole “we were taught to love our parents no matter what and kids these days just don’t do that” argument…
We didn’t choose to be born. You chose to be a parent. Stop trying to place the blame on us because you refuse to look yourself in the mirror.
Also, stop calling it a trend. It’s not. It’s a painful choice to walk away from someone you thought was your hero only to realize they’re a shitty person you’re better without
I’m grown enough to admit I’m not the easiest person to love. Life put me through a lot, so yeah… I overthink, I get triggered quick, I shut down, and sometimes I don’t even make sense. I’m sensitive as hell and I need patience.
But one thing about me? My love is REAL.
Why you think so many countries across the world helping Jamaica now? You think its because they love Reggae music and Track and Field?
No. Its because our leaders attend these events when "invited" and make valuable use of the speaking time and connections afforded.
